Account & Data Deletion

1) Overview

This page explains how you can request deletion of your Amik account and the personal data associated with it across our apps and services, including Amik Charge. We honour deletion requests in line with applicable data-protection laws and the requirements of the Google Play and Apple App Store platforms.

2) Who can request deletion

Any registered Amik user may request deletion of their own account and personal data. Requests must be submitted from, or verified against, the email address or mobile number registered to the account so that we can confirm your identity before acting.

3) How to request deletion

To request deletion, email info@amiktech.in from your registered email address with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”. Please include your registered name, email and mobile number so we can verify the account. We acknowledge requests within 1–2 business days.

4) What data is deleted

When your deletion request is processed, we remove or irreversibly anonymise the personal data linked to your account, including:

• Profile information (name, email address, phone number, profile photo).
• Authentication credentials and login identifiers.
• Saved vehicles, payment instruments / tokens and wallet balances (subject to settlement of outstanding dues).
• App preferences, saved locations and device / push-notification tokens.

5) What data is retained, and why

Certain records must be kept after account deletion to meet legal, tax, accounting, security and fraud-prevention obligations. Where retention is required we keep only the minimum data, for the minimum period mandated by law, and we restrict access to it. This may include:

• Transaction, invoice and payment records required by financial and tax regulations.
• Records needed to resolve disputes, enforce agreements or comply with legal requests.
• Aggregated or de-identified analytics that can no longer identify you.

6) How long it takes

Verified deletion requests are completed within 30 days. Data held in encrypted backups is purged on our regular backup-rotation cycle, typically within 90 days. Retained records (Section 5) are kept only for the legally required period and then deleted.

7) Effect of deletion

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. After deletion you will lose access to your account history, saved data, wallet balance and any active subscriptions or benefits. To use Amik services again you will need to create a new account. Please settle any outstanding balances and withdraw any redeemable wallet funds before requesting deletion.
